SurplusGLOBAL (CEO Bruce Kim, www.SurplusGLOBAL.com), global No.1 used semiconductor equipment company, today announced that the ground-breaking ceremony was held on June 4 at the site of a cluster of semiconductor equipment located in Tongsam-ri, Namsa-myeon, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do.
The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by Kim Jung-wong, CEO of SurplusGLOBAL, Suh Kwang-ha, head of its subsidiary EQ GLOBAL, Lee Min-jae, head of Halla Engineering & Construction, Mayor Baek Gun-ki of Yongin City, Chairman Lee Geon-han of Yongin City Council, and Cho Hyundai CEO of SEMI Korea.
The semiconductor equipment cluster will provide one-stop solution to customers by establishing customized environment such as Clean Room, Refurbishment Bay, Air Controlled Warehouse, Office, Convenience Facilities. Also, there will be a training center of global equipment manufacturer, semiconductor related R&D center, display rooms and offices which enable the tenants to do business at one place from buying and selling equipment, maintenance and rental to consulting services for semiconductor equipment trading.
SurplusGLOBAL will not only contribute to its competitiveness of global semiconductor equipment, materials, and components, but also providing positive impact on global semiconductor ecosystem by developing and enhancing semiconductor technologies. In addition, this will lead to job Opportunities and positive impact on local economies.
Moreover, the cluster is located near Samsung and SK Hynix semiconductor fabs and this will provide ideal location for Semiconductor businesses.
SurplusGLOBAL plans to complete Building A construction(68,000m2) by June 2021 and Cluster will offer various opportunities such as office areas, restaurants, lecture rooms, fitness center, book cafe and cafeteria, semiconductor equipment exhibition halls, clean rooms, and refurb bays within six storey building.
SurplusGLOBAL has expansion plan to Building B (23,000m2) in coming 2021, which consists of office areas, convenience facilities, and parking lots.
