SurplusGLOBAL Inc., operator of an online marketplace for idle industry facilities, surplus and used goods, has attracted 1 billion won in investment from venture capital firms Asia B2B Ventures and iPacific Partners.

The company said it will use the new funds to expand its business overseas including Japan and China. The investment was based on the two firms' confidence in SurplusGLOBAL's business model and marketing capability, the company said.

The Internet exchange ( serves various industrial sectors that have difficulties in finding a market to disposal of their excess and used goods. It offers a multilingual directory, information, database and transaction services in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese.
