1. What's your name? => I am Sung-woo Choi. My English name is Jackson. 2. Tell a little bit about yourself! =>I have been working at SG as a sales representative for two years. Since I am ambitious for international sales, I started working in the international sales department of bearing manufacturers. As I worked on linear bearings, my interest in semiconductors and equipment was growing. It led me to join the SG, and I have worked with pride in my work.
3. What role do you play in a team at SurplusGLOBAL? => I am responsible for metrology equipment in Team 1. My main task is to communicate with domestic and international clients and purchase/sell used equipment. I also predict and continuously analyze the semiconductor market, striving to provide the best solutions to clients. 4. What are 3 positive things about you? 1) I believe the driving force for growth is to ask without hesitating! If I don’t know something, I don’t necessarily feel ashamed. However, if I don’t try to find it out, I have to change this attitude. This is my strong belief. I always try to ask questions, get an answer and make growth. Then, I prepare for the next question. It is how I hone my expertise. And I believe it is the driving force for growth. 2) I keep in mind that a life with a learning attitude may become a school. I try to have a student mindset. We have to know teachers who can give me a lesson can be a senior colleague, a child, an animal, or even semiconductor equipment. To live my life, I try to remove fixed ideas/stereotype and prepare to meet diverse teaching in my life, so-called school. 3) Being detail-oriented is one of my positive aspects. I admit that I make a mistake from time to time. However, my fundamental is to go over details carefully. I believe I should take full responsibility for my assignment and correct the parts that someone might have missed when finalizing the work. That’s why being detail-oriented is my positive one. 5. How would you like to define being part of SurplusGLOBAL team? => Authority, Responsibility, Pride, and Pressure SG’s forte is to reflect team members’ opinions. An authority of decision-making is also given a lot when it comes to personnel’s responsible work. Although there are pros and cons in it, I am not just “one of” team members, but a unique person, “Jackson.” And, I believe that SG recognizes my existence in this way.
6. Would you like to say something to your future colleagues? => Working at SG is “difficult and takes a lot of effort.” If you don’t your goal and dream but want to settle, your life at SG will be difficult. It’s because SG aims to run forward ceaselessly. If you do so, working at SG might be difficult and take a lot of effort, but I guarantee you that it will be an express train that will lead you to achieve your goal and dream. 7. Have you ever been outside your comfort zone? => I put behind my preparation for employment and prepared for establishing my own business. I did not have assets, business knowledge, or infrastructures. However, I ran toward it. I planned an online English class. I hired English teachers from the Philippines by myself, handed out leaflets in Gangnam subway station, and gathered students. As a result, the business was not successful.
