Meet The Team with Country Manager of SEA, Johnny :D 1. Tell a little bit about yourself! - My name is HUI Kah Leong. I was born in 1973. In the year I was born, Elvis Presley held a concert in Hawaii, Live in Honolulu, sang the song - Johnny B. Goode. My Aunt then named me Johnny…😊 “Go Johnny go go go!” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_9QkJA6tIU 2. What role do you play in a team at SurplusGLOBAL? - I joined SurplusGLOBAL Asia (Singapore) in 2019 when the management decided to set up the Singapore office to serve the customer in SEA region. I am part of the Global Team member being the Bridge for our customer is SEA and SurplusGLOBAL. 3. What are 3 positive things about you? - Positive mindset for Perseverance, Responsibility and Challenge. Perseverance - I am a go getter like the song lyrics of [Johnny B. Goode]. His mother told him "someday you will be a man And you will be the leader of a big old band Many people coming from miles around To hear you play your music when the sun go down Maybe someday your name will be in lights Saying "Johnny B. Goode tonight" Responsibility - Like my Chinese name, 许家良 which means safe family, People who I take as family is always my priority. I strive to provide the best for my families. Note that I use “Families” instead of Family as family includes many other people who are also important to me. Challenge ~ Never Say die, Just say I will Try! 4. How would you like to define being part of SurplusGLOBAL team? - We don’t work for SurplusGLOBAL. We are building the business together with the whole team. Everybody contributes idea for the continuous growth of the company aiming to be the next over 100 year old company. |

5. What are 3 amazing things that have happened in your life? - It must be my lovely wife and 4 children. Can you imagine how amazing to have them in your life and as a goal to work hard for. Then, it is the right mentor in my career in the Semiconductor market. He guide and impart his experience selflessly to make me who I am today. Last but not least, coming back to the Semiconductor market with SurplusGLOBAL which I am already familiar and many family members here. 6. Would you like to say something to your future colleagues? - Be Bold, be Creative! Remember that you are not working for SurplusGLOBAL, you are provided with the resource to grow with SurplusGLOBAL. You can always rely on all our colleague to selflessly share their experience with you to excel. 7. Have you ever been outside your comfort zone? - Never really thought of that. Never have a bucket list. I believe in cherishing every moment and grabbing every opportunity that comes along the way. We don’t hire employees. We look for colleagues.
